Marsalli Park
Located at the corner of Lafayette and El Camino Real, Larry J.
Marsalli Park has been the home of Santa Clara softball for 22 years.
Open space, restrooms, off-street parking, a lighted softball field,
and a neighborhood recreation building are included in this beautifully
landscaped seven-acre park. The dimensions of the softball field are 235
feet at center field and 210 feet at left and right fields.
The park was formerly known as Lafayette Park and was renamed in 1998
in honor of the former mayor, council member and volunteer firefighter,
Larry Marsalli, who also served for more than 50 years as the chairman
of the Santa Clara Parade of Champions.
The park is one of 32 in the city of Santa Clara. |
